Invisalign™
The clear alternative to braces is here! Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit you. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you’ll be proud of, including:
• Overly crowded teeth • Widely spaced teeth • Overbites • Underbites • Crossbites
Advantages of the Invisalign® System
Invisalign braces won’t disrupt your lifestyle, and most people won’t even notice that you’re in treatment! Many patients see results in as little as 6 months.
The aligners are removed to eat, brush and floss, making no difference in the way you practice oral hygiene.

Damon® System
What makes the Damon System different? Passive self-ligative braces that eliminate the need for elastic or metal “ties”. High technology wires that move teeth faster and require fewer adjustments. A new clinically proven treatment approach that aligns your teeth and enhances your facial aesthetics – usually without extractions or rapid palatal expanders.
The Benefits of the Damon™ System
Better results in less time. Treatment is typically shorter than with conventional braces and you require fewer appointments. Outstanding comfort. The days of having braces tightened are over. Damon™ System Braces have a unique slide mechanism that reduces pressure on your teeth and allows them to move more comfortably to their correct positions. We can treat most cases without extractions.

TMJ Disorder, Headaches, Chronic Pain (JVA Bio, Biotens)
Headache Treatments
Do you suffer from unexplained headaches, sore jaw muscles or neck or back pain? Do you hear a clicking and/or grinding noise when you chew or yawn? If you or anyone you know suffers from ringing in the ears, dizziness or any of the above symptoms, it may be caused from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder.
Bio JVA
JVA provides a fast, non-invasive, and repeatable measurement of TMJ function to aid in your diagnosis.
TMJ Vibration Analysis is a quick, non-invasive method for the doctor to examine how your jaw joints function. Our office uses a device called Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) to help determine if patients have a TMJ Disorder.
Chronic Pain Treatment
BioTENS™
The Biotens unit provides symptomatic relief of chronic and intractable pain, and helps manage post-traumatic and post-surgical pain. At Clinique Denticare, we use Biotens technology to diagnose TMJ Disorder and to record neuromuscular occlusion. Neuromuscular activity is measured by recording the amount of electrical activity in the muscles of the jaw. The Biotens unit utilizes a magnet placed in front of the lower front teeth and a sensor array to measure the jaw position in three dimensions.

Root Canal Therapy
When a tooth gets infected because bacteria is present in a deep cavity and it enters the nerve, the result is a very painful condition known as an abscess. A root canal is a treatment used to clean out an infected tooth and save it from being extracted. At times injury or fracture of a tooth may also require a root canal, especially if the fracture results in the nerve being exposed to bacteria in the mouth. Front teeth are most susceptible to traumatic injury especially when participating in contact sports without the use of a proper mouth guard. Contrary to what many people think, most patients experience little to no discomfort during the procedure.
Waterlase MD Laser®
We care about your comfort! The Waterlase® is an amazing technology that performs a variety of hard and soft tissue procedures, also aids in decay removal, root canals, and smile design. Waterlase® cavity preparations can increase bond strength of tooth-coloured restoration resulting in longer lasting fillings.

Intra-Oral Camera
This small video camera allows us to photograph any areas of concern in your mouth both periodontal and restorative. By seeing and understanding what we see, you are better able to make informed decisions about your treatment. We use our intra-oral camera to show and educate our patients about their oral health. The images are used to show before and after pictures, clarify insurance claims and document oral conditions.
CariVu
DEXIS™ CariVu™ is a compact, portable caries detection device that uses patented transillumination technology to support the identification of occlusal, interproximal and recurrent carious lesions and cracks.
What makes CariVu unique?
Uses transillumination technology that makes enamel appear transparent while porous lesions trap and absorb light. Allows the clinician to see through the tooth, exposing its structure and the actual structure of any carious lesions. CariVu images read like familiar X-ray images. Uses non-ionizing radiation which is ideal for children, pregnant women and patients who are X-ray averse.
Digital Radiography
Digital radiography optimizes diagnostic quality that is available in seconds. Using this technology makes image filing, transmittal and availability virtually instantaneous. Our Digital Radiography uses 5 times less radiation than regular x-rays. We recognize patient safety as part of our commitment to your care.
Oral Cancer Screening
VELscope®
The world’s #1 oral cancer screening device. The VELscope system is used to conduct more oral cancer exams than any other adjunctive device in the world. Since mid-2006, over 4,500 VELscope systems have been installed and approximately 3 million VELscope exams will be given in 2009 alone.
The leader in fluorescence visualization. The VELscope system is the first oral cancer screening device to incorporate fluorescence visualization technology to help detect abnormal tissue , including cancer and precancer. The science behind tissue this technology has been supported by over $50 million in research funded by the National Institutes of Health and other prestigious organizations. A way to see what might otherwise be missed. The VELscope system is the first adjunctive device cleared by the FDA and Health Canada to help clinicians see cancerous and precancerous lesions that might not be visible to the naked eye. The VELscope is also the first device cleared to help surgeons determine the appropriate surgical margins if surgery is indicated. This is extremely important, as oral surgery often fails to remove 100% of the targeted tissue.
A detection device— not a diagnostic device. It is important to understand that the VELscope system is not a diagnostic device. It is used to detect tissue that appears to be abnormal. If the dentist is sufficiently suspicious of the tissue detected, a surgical biopsy should be conducted. Only when an oral pathologist reads the results of this surgical biopsy can a diagnosis be made. Easy for clinicians – and for patients. VELscope exams may be given as part of a normal hygiene exam. The exam is easy for dentists and hygienists to administer, taking only 2-to-3 minutes. It is completely free of pain or discomfort for the patients, and it involves no distasteful rinses or messy dyes like some other systems.

Are you missing teeth?
Implants are a sensible solution to replacing a single tooth because neighboring teeth are not needed for support. Implants are also a wonderful solution for securing bridges or dentures. Dental implants are titanium cylinders placed in the jawbone to replace missing teeth and it prevents bone loss associated with the extraction of teeth. Other treatments, such as bone grafting and sinus lift are also available at Clinique Denticare.
